    Heavy Duty Truck Collision Repair

    Chief introduces the first Heavy Duty Truck Collision Repair Course available to the industry. This course is first to detail structural repair principles and techniques for the Heavy Duty Market. An understanding of construction methods, steel properties, OEM procedures, and general repair principles are all covered in this comprehensive course. Proper use of measuring and pulling equipment are demonstrated and discussed. With the use of our Heavy Duty Damage Simulator, Chief can duplicate structural and body damage while monitoring their effects on the structure as this relates to how repairs can be blueprinted prior to beginning the repair process. This course is designed for technicians, estimators, and appraisers with valuable repair and analysis information. This is a two-day course available on a limited basis.

    Welding Technologies -- 1 Day
    Chief University small

    A one-day (eight-hour) class designed specifically for appraisers.  This is an interactive course that the appraiser will want to attend to learn various welding technologies. A practical experience with a virtual welder allows participant to perform real world welds with the safety of a virtual experience. Learn what a good and bad weld looks like, and the visual and destructive method to verify a good weld. This is a technical course that is brought into the classroom with extensive lecture and hands-on experiences. Upon successful completion, a Chief Certificate is awarded.

    Joining Technologies -- 1 Day

    A one-day (eight-hour) class designed for both appraisers and estimators. Chief’s Joining Technologies course is an overview of the various techniques used by OEMs today. It is necessary that estimators, appraisers and technicians have a good understanding of the actual processes involved during the repair. This course is a combination of hands-on and classroom experiences. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in the following exercises:

    1. Perform steel and aluminum weld (done safely with Chief’s Virtual Welder)
    2. Install and remove self-piercing rivets
    3. Install blind rivets
    4. Perform structural weld bonding
    5. Perform spot welds with and without adhesive
    6. See demonstration of carbon fiber repair

    This course explains current and future technologies and is a must for the collision repair analysis professional.

    ADA Course (Aluminum Damage Analysis and Repair Technology) -- 1 Day

    This 1-day (8 hour) interactive class is designed for entry level or experienced appraisers and structural repair technicians. This advanced course features 16-hours of instruction on the analysis of vehicles with steering and suspension problems either before, during, or after collision repair is complete.     Training Design Based Repairs
    "Design Based Repair" is the efficient, economical, and proper repair of the vehicle which returns it to specifications that are in keeping with the manufacturer's original design.
