Chief is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high-quality collision repair products and services, including frame-pulling equipment, vehicle-anchoring systems, measuring systems and vehicle frame specifications. Chief is also a leading provider of comprehensive training for insurance and collision repair professionals. The company opened its first training and service center in 1979 and has since trained more than 32,000 technicians and 22,000 appraisers through its Chief University programs.

Chief was founded in Nebraska in 1972 and began selling patented frame racks in 1973 —many of which are still in use. It expanded into the computerized measuring business in 1990, and introduced design based repair in 2006.
